GentleMax PRO
The GentleMAX PRO Effect
Patients will notice hair falling & reduction in hair count starting from 1st session.
Alexandrite & Nd:YAG laser wavelength has high absorption on melanin. When the laser is absorbed the energy absorption generates heat that thermally damages the bulge & bulb cells in the hair follicle which are responsible for hair growth.
The hair is rich in melanin & has a lifecycle of 3 stages:
- Anagen: the growing stage is the ideal target of laser hair removal, the hair is fully attached to the bulge & bulb cells and hence desired thermal damage is achieved and hair growth is stopped.
- Catagen & Telogen: in this stage not growing and starts to fall, the hair is not attached to the bulge & bulb cells and hence when the energy is absorbed the hair alone will be burnt, hair regrowth will happen into anagen phase & hence multiple sessions are required.
Candela proprietary Dynamic cooling device (DCD) precisely & consistently cools the skin in a way that no cooling of hair may occur that compromises the hair removal results nor insufficient cooling will increase skin burn risk.
Laser hair removal success needs a pulse duration shorter than the hair Thermal Relaxation Time (TRT). If achieved the hair temperature will rise faster than the heat loss from it resulting in reaching the burning point.
TRT of the hair depends on its size, the smaller the hair the lower its TRT & hence the more difficult it is to be burnt by laser.
GentleMAX PRO avails 3 msec the lowest pulse duration in hair removal due to the high protection by the patent DCD cooling which makes it effective in thick & resistant thin hair.
