IPL
Hair removal
Controlled pulses of light penetrate the epidermis and are absorbed by melanin in the hair contained in the follicle. The resulting thermal effect will destroy the hair follicle preventing future hair production.
During hair growth, the hair goes through 3 stages: Anagen (active), Telogen (resting) & Catagen (falling). In the Anagen stage, the hair is attached to follicle & hence both will be destroyed by the thermal energy of the IPL, the hair in the other stages will fall and grow back as an anagen & because of this multiple sessions is needed for the best results.
IPL
Photo-rejuvenation, pigmented lesions
The treatment works by directing well-controlled pulses of light into the upper skin layer. The light is absorbed by two of the body's own natural chromophores - melanin in the pigmented areas and hemoglobin in the blood.
Both these pigments convert the light energy into heat. This heat is used to destroy the parts of the cells in which the melanin is stored, and to damage the walls of the vessels supplying blood to the areas where vascular damage is seen.

Frax 1550 & IPL
Skin resurfacing & Rejuvenation
Frax 1550 non-ablative skin resurfacing uses a laser to improve skin quality by heating the lower layer of skin without injuring the skin surface.
The heat generated by the laser is absorbed by water resulting in collagen shrinkage which stimulates collagen production which causes the skin to tighten and look younger and healthier.
Non-ablative fractional lasers, deliver heat into the skin through thousands of tiny, deep columns known as microthermal zones (MTZ). The fractional treatment allows the skin to heal faster than if the entire area was treated.
